A. R. Rahman's Firdaus Orchestra visit WSO

A. R. Rahman's Firdaus Orchestra performed an amazing repertoire in the auditorium.

The Firdaus Orchestra is the world's only fully employed female orchestra and we were so fortunate with them visit the school as part of the World Children's Day celebration. A. R. Rahman, the Oscar-winning composer for the film 'Slumdog Millionaire,' leads this remarkable ensemble.

The musicians presented a repertoire of pieces from renowned films and classical numbers, and then had a Q&A session with our students after the performances. Our goal was for this performance to serve as an inspirational introduction towards the school establishing its own orchestra.
